Senior Logistics Account Executive, Business Development (Freight Forwarding, Remote)

Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid for local candidates, fully remote for others)

Job Type: Full-Time, W2 with Benefits

Base Compensation: $50,000–$75,000 + (with commission and quarterly bonuses;)

About The Client
Client is a full-scale domestic and global transportation company offering end-to-end freight solutions across all modes (LTL, FTL, air, ocean, intermodal).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an existing client base, providing end-to-end domestic and international freight solutions.

  • Develop new business through networking, prospecting, and referrals.

  • Partner with internal operations teams to ensure high-quality service and client satisfaction.

  • Drive margin growth through consultative selling and strategic account management.

  • Own client relationships and navigate internal or client-side bureaucracy to ensure successful onboarding of accounts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience selling freight brokerage or logistics services.

  • Active, transferable book of business with a domestic-heavy portfolio (ideally no more than 30% international).

  • Proven ability to work autonomously in a remote or hybrid environment.

  • Familiarity with freight software systems (TMS, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).

  • Strong consultative sales skills and a track record of revenue generation.
