Senior Logistics Account Executive, Business Development (Freight Forwarding, Remote)

Key Responsibilities

  • This is a full-cycle, cradle-to-grave Sales Executive role responsible for owning customer relationships from initial engagement through quoting, execution oversight, and long-term account growth. The ideal candidate is comfortable operating at the intersection of sales, pricing, and ongoing account management, with accountability for margin integrity and customer satisfaction.

  • Own and grow an existing portfolio of shipper accounts, serving as the primary commercial point of contact from onboarding through ongoing service.

  • Source and develop new business through prospecting, referrals, and relationship-based selling.

  • Manage pricing and quoting responsibilities, ensuring accuracy, margin discipline, and alignment with internal systems.

  • Partner closely with carrier reps and operations teams to support execution while retaining commercial ownership of accounts.

  • Handle ongoing account management, including pricing updates, service discussions, and resolution of billing or margin-related questions.

  • Drive revenue and margin growth through disciplined, consultative selling and long-term account development.

  • Navigate internal processes and client-side stakeholders to ensure smooth onboarding and sustained account performance.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience selling freight brokerage or logistics services in a full-cycle or account-owning sales role.

  • Active, transferable book of business with a domestic-heavy portfolio (ideally no more than ~30% international).

  • Demonstrated experience handling quoting, pricing, and margin responsibility for customer accounts.

  • Comfortable working autonomously in a remote or hybrid environment with accountability for outcomes.

  • Familiarity with transportation and CRM systems (TMS, HubSpot, Salesforce, or similar).

  • Strong attention to detail, commercial judgment, and the ability to operate with minimal hand-holding.
